Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Trail Boss: An Overpriced Off-Roader?

Chevrolet has finally launched the Z71 Trail Boss edition and it is purely aimed for the off-roading enthusiasts. Like how it was with previous Z71 models, the Trail Boss comes with 305hp generated from a 3.6L V6 unit that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to that, the Z71 Trail Boss still looks as good as the original Colorado. Of course, car junkies will be fully entitled to customize the pickup truck like choosing between extended or crew cab, long or short bed and rear- or four-wheel drive.

Regardless of the choices made, the Z71 Trail Boss comes with a locking rear differential, front tow hooks, darkened 17-inch wheels and a transfer case shield as a standard. Of course, this would also mean a price increase of $3,320 from the Z71’s original valuation.

Obviously, this is kind of costly for new features that should have cost cheaper. If Chevrolet truly wants to justify the price of the Z71 Trail Boss, then they should consider giving the Z71 Trail Boss a height boost.
