The first of its kind to arrive in the US, the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia manages to steal the spotlight of the 2015 LA Auto Show. And it’s the first car Alfa is bringing to the US that is actually an Alfa Romeo.
This handsome-looking Italian model is setting the bar quite high; 2.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 that produces 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. It’s claimed to be the most powerful Alfa Romeo to date. Need we say more?
The press release further confirms that by incorporating the La meccanica delle emozioni (the mechanics of emotion), Alfa Romeo is able to deliver the highest levels of innovation, advanced technologies and the precision craftsmanship.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia will bring out the best of every possible segment; a Ferrari-derived 505-horsepower dual turbo V6 engine, cylinder deactivation and carbon fibre active aero front splitter. Inspired by the Alfa Romeo heritage, this high-performance car will exude attractive sculptural details and a recognizable Italian style.
The interior of the Giulia comes with an all-new 3D graphic navigation system that is sophisticated yet intuitive, as well as an ergonomically located Alfa Rotary Pad, which serves as an interaction system for drivers to navigate locations simply by moving fingers on the pad.
Being the car that can only be crafted in Italy, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio designers have it built with a vision of simplistic elegance. The high level of craftsmanship can be seen through the asymmetric-styled instrument panel and the premium leather seating.
While it’s certainly the talk of the town right now, we just can’t wait to see it being driven on the open roads. That should definitely be something worth waiting for.
