The 2016 Mustang GT is already in its final stages in its development and earlier today, we managed to get a sneak peak with the all-American muscle car. At a glance, the Ford Mustang GT looks ferocious with its lowered build, frowning grille and vertical lines at each redesigned headlamps.
The biggest change on the Mustang GT is with the suspensions, which has been refined to offer better grip on the road. Throughout history, the Mustang has never been able to offer top class handling and this looks like changing in the upcoming model. Together with a set of larger 19” tyres and Brembo front brake calipers, there is no doubt that the car will be able to speed through sharp bends and corners with ease.
Inside the cabin, everything has been upgraded to offer the best sports features in the automotive industry. Ford equipped the Mustang GT with Recaro front seats that is simply comforting for speedy drivers. Also, there are real stitches running around the dashboard and door panels. Then again, the overall interior still fails to offer a classy theme.
As for the performance, the Mustang GT is towed by a 5L V8 engine that develops a whopping 435hp and 400ft-lbs of torque. A simple tap on the accelerator can start a burnout with this build. In addition to that, the GT drives on a 6-speed traditional manual gearbox that has never failed to disappoint in the motorsports industry.
Of course, the biggest flaw in sporty vehicles is its running cost. As great as the Mustang GT will be, it is a massive fuel drainer. Also, there is no point in being a sports sedan if the rear seats have are uncomfortable.
Aside from all that, Ford has got everything right with the Mustang GT. Perhaps, further in the future, Ford could create an EcoBoost version of the V8. That way, fuel efficiency wouldn’t be compromised in the search for speed.
