Come next year, Mitsubishi will be launching an update to the Evolution Sports Sedan and it will be the last model for the Evolution-series. This is confirmed by Mitsubishi’s executive president for North America, Don Swearingen.
The lad revealed that the time has come for Mitsubishi to drop the Evolution badge and look forward to pursuing a different goal. Of course, Don said it in a soft manner by quoting “there are currently no plans for the EVO XI”.
As for the upcoming Evo Special Action Model, it will be known as the GSR 5-speed that will look to offer more horsepower, torque, suspension and tuning. Mitsubishi will only be producing 2,000 units of the Evo X as the car bid farewell to the once king of street racing.
