Lexus has already confirmed that they will be launching the RX Facelift later this year and this will see the arrival of both the RX340 and the RX450. In addition to that, Lexus revealed that they will be utilizing aluminium for the RX Facelift.
Lexus shared that the aluminium parts will be limited to the hood, closures and tailgate. Also, the usage of aluminium is aimed at dragging the weight of the RX Facelift down.
With a lighter RX SUV coming later this year, the vehicle is obviously going to be better optimized for power and more fuel economical than before. Lexus also confirms that the aluminium parts are engineered at the highest order so that it will be as strong as conventional metals.
Surely, the future RX Facelift is going to be huge when released and it is going to be the first Lexus vehicle to come with aluminium.
