It seems that Jeep is aiming to make the Wrangler more fitting for the general market through introducing a new model later this year. This is evident after reports claim that the upcoming Wrangler will have a gentler design and better fuel economy.
Jeep also mentioned on this when they announced on the newly developed 3.6 liter 6 cylinder engine and a new direct injection system to the Pentastar motor nicknamed PUG. This particular motor is aimed at bringing down fuel consumption without affecting power.
Of course, the Wrangler will still come with many trim levels and consumers can expect the 2.8L V4 diesel or the 3.8L V6 engine coming with the vehicle.
Also, it is pretty obvious that the future Wrangler will still come with Jeep’s hallmark off-roading technology or else it can’t be called the Wrangler. So, it is safe to assume that the future Wrangler is still a beast when away from the tarmacs.
