It is no secret that Honda will be refreshing the Pilot with a facelift model that is due to arrive in 2016. While that may still be far away from now, car junkies can already check out on how the Pilot will look like when it makes its debut.
This is now possible after spy shots of the Pilot running some tests got publicized on the internet. When viewing the images, the first thing car junkies will notice is a huge SUV that appears to be built on the platform that was used by the Acura MDX. This is evident with the longer roofline and that extra overhand on the Pilot.
The front section of the vehicle also sports a new pair of headlamps that are identical to those on the latest Honda Accord. As for the rear area, everything from the existing Pilot seems intact with no changes whatsoever.
On the downside of things, Honda has yet to share on the engine options that will power the Pilot. Nevertheless, the vehicle is strongly linked to run on a V6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, which runs on both the AWD and FWD system.
