The Honda Pilot is about to get refreshed with a brand new model next year and it is said to also be much larger than before. Honda has confirmed that the next-gen Pilot will be built on the Acura MDX platform.
In contrast to that, the Pilot is to feature a larger cabin and a longer wheelbase. Furthermore, the SUV will have more overhangs at its rear section.
While the next-gen pilot also features new angular headlights, the overall exterior design of the vehicle actually looks a lot like the Honda Accord. It can easily be said that the Pilot is actually the Accord morphed into an SUV.
Under the hood, the Honda Pilot will be offered with either the AWD system or the FWD system. The SUV is towed by a 3.5L V6 engine that is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, these are the only details available at the moment. Honda will surely spill more beans on the next-gen Pilot when it gets released next-year.
