There were a lot of hypes before the Honda Civic was released and there were a lot of hypes when Honda was ready to bring out the Honda Civic Coupe model, but things have been very quiet on the side of the Honda Civic SI. Why is that?
It was initially predicted that the Honda Civic SI would make an appearance before 2015 end, but that is looking highly unlikely now as we are in the last few weeks of 2015.
What else can we expect on the side of the Honda Civic SI? Well, there was talk that the SI model could be coming in with a 200hp 1.5 liter turbocharged engine. While 200hp is not a bad number, some fans were saying that it is not going to be good enough.
There were also rumors that we might see the 2.0 liter turbocharged engine from the Type R make its way onto the Honda Civic SI but the fans are hoping that it would not happen and that the engine will remain a Type R exclusive.
