2016 Ford Mustang: Surpassing The 470hp Mark As A Standard

The Ford Mustang is one of the most popular sports cars in automotive history but it has yet to come with more than 450hp as a standard. Well, this may soon change when an all-new Mustang gets released next year.

Like its predecessor, the upcoming Mustang will still run on a 5L V8 engine but it will also be equipped with direct injection technology. This little addition can boost the Mustang’s horsepower from 444hp to at least 470hp.

Trusting that Ford will further optimize the 5L V8 engine, it is safe to assume that the future Mustang will feature more than 500hp. Thus, the next-gen Mustang will be the most powerful standard muscle car in history.

Then again, there is no confirmation on whether Ford will introduce direct injection with the upcoming Ford Mustang. What is certain is that the vehicle will surely be a massive treat that fans will find it hard to resist.
