The next-gen Ford Focus RS is currently in its final stages of development and it is due to make its debut somewhere in Q4 this year. The exciting bit is that this upcoming sports hatch is finally going to make its official debut in the US.
For years already, the Focus RS has been developed for the European market and this is despite of the fact that Ford is an American carmaker. The next-gen model is going to break this pattern once and for all as it looks to make an impact in Ford’s home field.
Even so, the Focus RS is still not produced in the US. Instead, the sports hatch is developed in Germany. The upcoming Focus RS will be driving on the AWD system and it is powered by the Mustang-sourced 2.3L EcoBoost engine that promises at least 315hp.
