If you think that the Ford Focus ST was great, wait till you check out the future Ford Focus RS. The top-range sporty version of the hatchback is expected to make its debut next year and it will be powered by a newly developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine that offers 350hp on the pedal.
While there is no doubt that the next-gen Focus RS will be a powerful vehicle, there are growing worries that the hatchback won’t be released in the US. This is because Ford already has the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and Mustangs.
Then again, Ford has been behaving very aggressively in the automotive market over the recent years. The carmaker has already launched many unnecessary vehicles and the Focus RS won’t be any different. Besides, the Focus RS is not simply made for business but for the fans of the hatchback.
In the worst possible scenario, Ford is expected to launch the Focus RS in limited numbers. When the Focus RS arrives, it will be competing with the upcoming Volkswagen Golf GTi.
