Next year, Ford will be launching the all-new Focus RS but there are a lot of doubts on the car making its debut in the US. This is due to the fact that Ford already has two performance vehicles under their belt and they are the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC as well as the Mustang.
If Ford is to launch the Focus RS in the US, then it will make the performance market more crowded and that will only damage Ford’s profits. The Focus RS is said to come with a 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that develops 350hp as it drives on the AWD platform.
On the other hand, it is wise to note that Ford has been very aggressive with their business since the last couple of years. Throughout that period, there are quite a number of unnecessary vehicles launched by Ford. Hence, this makes the Focus RS US release all the more likely.
In the worst possible scenario, market analysts are tipping that Ford could result to releasing the Focus RS in limited numbers. That way, the American carmaker won’t feel the pinch if sales don’t go well for the Focus RS.
