Ford might be a full-fledged American company but this does not mean that its products are all made in USA. The next-gen Focus RS, for example, is being developed in Germany and it is expected to make its debut later this year.
The exciting thing is that the next-gen Focus RS is going to become the first ever model in its family to debut in the US. Everything about the Focus RS is going to have German prints on it.
For starters, the sports hatch is going to run on the AWD system, which is very typical of a German setup. Also, the Focus RS is equipped with all the safety features that are in compliance with European’s standards.
The Ford Focus RS will be powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost engine that promises at least 315hp. The car will be controlled by a traditional 6-speed manual transmission and there won’t be any automatics at all.
