Ford has confirmed that the Focus RS will be coming in 2016 but there are doubts on the vehicle’s arrival here in the US. Rumours are indicating that the availability of the EcoBoost-powered Lincoln MKC and Ford Mustang are sanctioning the upcoming Focus RS from a US entry.
On the other hand, the rumours are likely to be entirely wrong. Many market analysts revealed that the Focus RS will get produced for the US market indefinitely. This is evident if car junkies are to notice Ford’s aggressiveness in the local automotive market.
Over the last five or six years, Ford has been on gung ho mode that at times, the company launched some vehicles that are truly unnecessary. If the pattern is to continue, then the Focus RS will definitely debut in the US. In the worst case scenarios, the Focus RS will be made in limited numbers for the local market.
When the Focus RS arrives, it will be powered by the newly-developed 2.3L EcoBoost engine that will look to offer a whopping 350hp. While details on the vehicle might still be scarce at the moment, consumers can look forward to hearing more from Ford in the near future.
