The next-gen Ford Focus RS is going to make its debut later this year but many feared that the vehicle won’t be making it into the US. This is because of the overpopulated performance segment from Ford which suggests that releasing the Focus RS here will be bad for business.
Well, fans of the sports hatch can now ease their fears as Ford has finally confirmed that the next-gen Focus RS will get released in the US indefinitely. The sports hatch is going to be slotted above the ST trim and it will be competing with the Volkswagen Golf and the Honda Civic Type-R.
Be it good or bad for business, Ford couldn’t be bothered by it as they find releasing the Focus RS here in the US an important goal to achieve. After all, the Focus badge has been one of America’s finest products and it deserves the RS trim in the home field.
