The next-generation Ford Focus RS is en route to make its debut next year and it will be running on the all-new 2.3L EcoBoost engine that develops a whopping 350hp. While the Focus RS looks set to make it big on the global stage, there are growing doubts over its release in the US.
This is because Ford has already got the Lincoln MKC and the Mustang. Both performance vehicles are powered by the EcoBoost engine which hence puts the question mark on the Focus RS availability here in the US.
Then again, the sports hatch will still be enjoying a local release due to Ford’s gung ho behaviour in the automotive market. The American carmaker has launched many unnecessary vehicles over the last couple of years ago and the Focus RS will be no different.
As such, it is safe to assume that the Ford Focus RS will be released here in the US. Of course, consumers can expect more confirmation on the matter prior to the Focus RS release next year.
