It has already been confirmed that a new batch of Ford Focus is on its way to make its debut next year and it is going to come with new groundbreaking automotive technologies.
We have all hear of Traction Control and now; there is the Enhanced Transitional Stability (ETS). ETS is among the new technologies coming with the Focus and it thoroughly improves the safety of the vehicle.
Ford announced on ETS earlier today and they revealed that the technology will actually make the Focus anticipate a skid before it happens. While it may not be much, being 100-200millisecond ahead of a skid can still save lives.
The way ETS work is very straightforward and simple. Whenever a skid is bound to happen, the brakes will act independently to ensure that the car remains straight or in control at all times.
Of course, such a feature might already be available on the 2013 Ford Taurus but it is worth noting that ETS on the Focus is improved on every front.
