When a truck wins an award twice in a row for 2 consecutive years, you know they might just truly deserve it. We’re talking about the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, and how they certainly managed to grab their comeback title.
It’s all thanks to the introduction of the 2.8-litre Duramax four-cylinder diesel, that Chevrolet bags the trophy. Accordingly, a model had to shine in six criteria in order to earn the title: advancement in design, engineering excellence, safety, efficiency, value and performance of intended function.
Chevrolet Colorado did a splendid job as it topples down a rather tough group of finalists: the Chevy Silverado and even the latest Toyota Tacoma (just to name a few). The Colorado features an optional class-exclusive 2.8-litre inline-four Duramax diesel, giving it phenomenal fuel efficiency.
Chevrolet did a great job and well done to them. Are you ready for the next Motor Trend award?
