2015 VW Polo Review: Poor Performance, Overpriced

The latest Volkswagen Polo review is truly a hot hatchback but is it really worth its price? To know for sure, we have decided to give the Polo a test drive and this is what we found out.

The first thing we like about the Polo is its styling. Volkswagen has never failed to offer plenty of style with the Polo and the latest model is no different. It looks sharp and ready to perform.

For a small hatch, we are also surprised that the Polo is able to offer plenty of space in its interior. The car is extremely spacious and full of quality. It further proves that German carmakers are the best when offering comfort.

Unfortunately, the Polo failed to impress us on the performance front. We tested out the entry level Polo that runs on a 1L engine with 59hp and it performs miserably. The only thing we can appreciate is the fuel economy which is returned an average 58mpg. Perhaps, things are better if we opt for the 1.4L-powered Polo.

The 1L Polo is priced at about $16,000 at best and this is disappointing at best. This is because the vehicle has got only style and comfort to offer. For a little bit more, consumers can enjoy the extreme thrills on the latest Ford Fiesta EcoBoost.
