2015 Toyota Yaris: From Paris With Love

A new-looking Toyota Yaris has just been released and it looks so much hotter than its predecessors. Aside from the fact that the vehicle is a supermini hatchback, the sole design of the Yaris looks as if it was born and raised in France.

The styling looks as if it is taken from Peugeot, Renault and Citroen. All the great design elements from the three French carmakers were then jumbled together, thus creating the Yaris. As a matter of fact, the Yaris is developed at a Toyota facility over at southern France.

In detail, the hood and front fenders are notably more sculpted than the previous model. The grille, taillight and tailgate are also new, and curvier than before. Inside the vehicle, the Yaris enjoys a new-looking dashboard and door designs that also assists in insulating road noise by 25%. Furthermore, there is new upholstery, audio and navigation system fitted inside the hot hatch.

Under the hood, the Yaris is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that generates 106hp. Toyota is giving the customers the power to decide on the transmission with two choices. The first is a 4-speed automatic while the second is the 5-speed manual. This further improves the Yaris’ fuel economy, which is now rated at 36mpg on highway and 32mpg on city roads.

At the moment, the brand new Yaris is available in selected European markets and is still pending for a global release. Despite that fact, Toyota is currently negotiating with its US branch to take in the hot Yaris. Of course, there is still no indication on when it will arrive in America.
