Call us weird but we find the latest Toyota FJ Cruiser as one of the nicest looking SUVs around. It might not look luxurious but there is that X factor on its styling which we found it hard to resist. We then decided to give the FJ Cruiser a test drive and see how its beauty translates on the road.
To be precise, we tested out the standard 4×2 RWD FJ Cruiser. This particular model retails at $27,680 and it runs on the 4L V6 engine that makes 260hp and 271ft-lbs of torque. Inside the cabin, we find everything neatly positioned although we find the styling to be a tad boring.
Even so, it is still a pleasure to drive the FJ Cruiser. We really appreciate the tall driving height and also the noise insulator. The latter, in particular, did superbly well when it comes to preventing noise from creeping inside the car.
Unfortunately, the FJ Cruiser we tested is not purely built for off-roading. Despite that fact, we still tried driving the car on the dirt trails and it returned a highly thrilling feel.
As far as we are concern, the Toyota FJ Cruiser ticks every box for being one of the most pleasant SUVs around. We find it nicer to drive on the FJ Cruiser than the latest Jeep Wrangler.
