Porsche stole the headlines yesterday when they announced on a new Panamera model that is coming later this year. The vehicle will be wearing the ST badge and is built to address the heavy criticism on the previous, first-gen Panamera.
In detail, Porsche described the Panamera ST as a styling correction for its predecessor that is perceived as something extraordinarily ugly. The announcement on the Panamera ST was made together with the launching of the vehicle’s teaser video as per above.
When viewing the video, one can easily notice that the Panamera ST actually looks a lot like the Porsche Macan. Heck, it can be said that the Panamera ST is basically the Macan in its bullet-back form instead of being an SUV.
However, Porsche reiterated that the Panamera ST will feature a design overhaul but still remain distinguishable in the eyes of the masses. The announcement of the Porsche Panamera ST also rubbishes the many rumours that cited the vehicle to be a 4-door convertible.
On the downside of things, Porsche has failed to share on when the Panamera ST will make its debut. Regardless, the German carmaker did promise to launch the vehicle this year.
