When the rumours went rife in indicating that a new Porsche Panamera ST will get developed, it became a huge buzz among car enthusiasts. This is because the rumours claimed that the Panamera ST will adopt a new styling and come out in multiple variants including a 2-door convertible model.
Well, the only part which the rumours got it right is the fact that a new Panamera is indeed in development. However, Porsche’s chief Wolfgang Hatz rubbished the convertible bits by claiming that it won’t happen.
Wolfgang revealed that the next-generation Panamera will be coming with a Sport Turismo styling with 4-doors to offer. The Sport Turismo variant of the Panamera ST will be built on the third-generation Panamera new MSB platform.
As for the design, it is said that the future Panamera will come with the styling of the Macan. This was teased before during the last Paris Motor Show and many were angered to why such a design language was not applied on the previous Panamera.
For those that are unaware, the first-gen Panamera simply looks hideous and it has been in desperate need for a design overhaul ever since. Well, that is about to happen soon when a new breed of Panamera gets launched later this year.
