The Jeep Wrangler has always been a fun car to drive, especially when it comes to off-roading. Just a couple of months ago, Jeep launched the Wrangler Sahara. Yesterday, the American carmaker released the Wrangler Freedom Edition.
Jeep revealed that the Freedom Edition retails at a starting price $23,390. The 4×4 is powered by a 3.6L V6 engine that is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The Wrangler Freedom Edition runs on the 4WD platform with hallmark off-road technologies and features by Jeep.
In figures, Jeep claims that the Freedom Edition Wrangler can generate 285hp and 260ft-lbs of torque. As for the fuel economy, the vehicle returns 17mpg on the city, 21mpg on the highway and 18mpg on combined use.
Unlike other Jeep Wranglers, the Freedom Edition comes with a blue paint job and Oscar Mike symbols everywhere. Among the features on the Freedom Edition includes 17-inch by 7.5-inch aluminium wheels, P255/75 R17 OWL on/off road tires, power convenience group, heated mirrors, power windows and many more.
For us, we don’t actually understand the need for so many Wrangler variations. All of them have one thing in common and that is the fun in off-roading. Then again, not everybody wishes to climb a mountain in a car or take on a dirt trail on a daily basis.
