The Jeep Renegade was launched late last year and it came out with a spectacular design and a powerful performance to offer. Even so, the vehicle was widely criticized since it was made to compete in the overcrowded compact SUV segment.
Market analysts are clearly worried that the Renegade will not sell well and reach a halt in production in a premature manner. After all, the odds are against the Renegade since it is going against the likes of the Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke and many more.
Things are more handicapped with the Renegade too as the compact SUV does not offer great fuel economy. Furthermore, the Jeep Renegade is not the ideal family car that can appeal the masses.
The only perks with the Jeep Renegade is with the fact that it makes a great highway cruiser and is also and off-roading beast. The vehicle is packed with Jeep’s award-winning 4WD technology that enables it to climb mountains, cross river streams and also surf on sandy dunes with ease.
Then again, not every day is Sunday and not everyone is a fan of off-roading. This further limits the Renegade prospect to sell well. Of course, it is still too early to judge the Jeep Renegade but things will be certain by the end of this year.
