The next-generation Honda HRV Crossover Fit is currently in production and it is due to arrive next year. This upcoming vehicle is going to be unique with its design as Honda revealed it to be a coupe-styled hatchback with 2 hidden doors.
What Honda meant is that the HRV Crossover Fit actually has 4 doors in total. Apparently, a close observation is needed if anyone wishes to spot the rear two doors. Honda’s design team has done a great job in hiding the rear door handles and lines.
To further enhance the coupe experience, the HRV Crossover Fit also comes with a curvy roof. While the overall look might be enticing, it comes with the sacrifice of comfort for the rear seat passengers.
It seems that the curvy roof has caused a loss of headroom space for the rear passengers. The rear leg room, on the other hand, manage to remain spacious due to the downsizing of the cargo compartment.
Performance-wise, consumers can look forward to saving a lot of petrol dollars with the HRV Crossover Fit. The car weighs 2600lbs and together with the engines that is ported over from the latest Honda Fit, the vehicle is going to be more fuel efficient than ever. Also, power output will also improve for the HRV Crossover Fit.
On a final note, the hatchback will be operating on a CVT transmission, although Honda will also throw in a 6-speed manual transmission option. The Honda HRV Crossover Fit will come with a base price of $16,000, which is capped at $21,000.
