Both the latest Honda HR-V and the Jeep Renegade are two of the hottest compact SUVs in the market right now. However, it is wrong to perceive both vehicles as something that is similar to each other when they are actually very different.
Looking at the Honda HR-V, the vehicle is towed by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that is paired to a CVT transmission. This basically means that the HR-V is a fuel savvy compact SUV that is fit for general, everyday use. To add to that, the Honda HR-V is also cheap to own.
Then there is the Jeep Renegade which is powered by a 1.4L turbocharged engine that is being paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. No, the Renegade is not fuel efficient or cheap to own but it does come with a 4WD mode. The latter basically allows the Renegade to sprint through the harsh off-roading terrain with ease.
With that being said, it basically confirms that both the Renegade and the HR-V have completely opposite flavours to offer. We hope consumers are aware of this and make the right choice when choosing between the Jeep Renegade and Honda HR-V.
