2015 Ford Ranger Wildtrack: Naked In Thailand

It has already been confirmed by Ford Asia Pacific that a new generation of Rangers will be launched at the end of this year. Apparently, development for the pickup truck is already at its final stages and this is evident after spy shots of the future Ranger got leaked online.

The spy shots can be found all over the internet and it shows the upcoming Ranger cruising around the streets of Thailand. In addition to that, the vehicle is not covered in camouflage and we can easily tell that it is the Wildtrack trim.

This is due to the fact that the Ranger in the images features a darkened front grille and bumper, roof bars and decals. All of these features are a standard of a Ranger Wildtrack.

While the spy shots only cover the exterior, Asia Pacific pickup truck lovers can expect the upcoming Ranger to come with two different engine options. They are the Duratorq TCDi 4-cylinder that develops 148hp and 375Nm of torque and the 3.2L 5-cylinder turbodiesel that develops 197hp and 470Nm of torque.

Similarly, Ford is expected to offer two different transmission choices and they are the Getrag-designed MT82 six-speed manual transmission and the 6R80 six-speed automatic gearbox.

Of course, this is pending for confirmation by Ford and we can expect that to happen in some months from now, prior to the Ranger Wildtrack’s debut.
