It wasn’t that long ago when Chevrolet unveiled the Colorado ZR2. The mid-sized pickup truck from Chevy resembles that of a Warthog from the Halo gaming series and it got us gamers and car junkies on overdrive.
However, the tables have turned today with Ford pushing to become the official carmaker for Halo. They showed their intent by creating a car specifically for Halo.
In detail, Ford made some design changes to the 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and FX4 off-road package so that it looks fitting for the Halo universe. Known as the F-150 Halo Sandcat, all that is missing with the pickup truck is a gun turret resting at the back.
The Halo Sandcat is really special as it comes with the Xbox One making up the car’s infotainment system. The vehicle is also tipped to be part of the upcoming sequel, Halo 5.
As exciting as this sound, it is unfortunate that the F-150 Halo Sandcat promises bad sales. This is because most Halo fans are still in their teenage years and they are far from getting a driver’s license.
