Last year, Ford renewed its dominance on the crossover market by launching the all-new Edge. Earlier this year, the latest Edge received some subtle tweaks and it saw the vehicle coming with two new engines.
Previously, the Edge was offered with only the 3.5L V6 engine but now, consumers can choose from the 2L EcoBoost and the 2.7L EcoBoost V6. The former has 245hp and 275ft-lbs of torque to offer while the latter has 315hp and 350ft-lbs of torque to offer.
Of course, the golden choice here would be with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine as it is able to offer an exhilarating performance. Ford tipped that the 2.7L-powered Edge can accelerate faster than the BMW X5.
While it all sounds great, it is unfortunate that the 2.7L EcoBoost is only offered with the range-topping trim Edge. Hence, there is no way to own the engine and the crossover for a cheap.
