2015 Chevy Corvette Stingray Needs To Shut Their Pie Hole In Korea

The latest Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is every racerboy’s dream car. It is fast, powerful and sporty. In other words, the Stingray is a straightforward racing car that is street legal.

Despite that fact, the Stingray is unable to capture the hearts in South Korea. It appears that the Koreans are not at all happy when the car emits so much noise on the road.

This isn’t surprising as South Korea is famous for practicing strict engine-noise regulations and the Corvette Stingray is surely not abiding by the local requirements.

As of today, the Chevy Corvette Stingray is being banned on the streets of South Korea. Chevrolet’s parent company, GM, is currently working out a deal with the Korean government to get an exemption for the Stingray.

Then again, we can only wonder to why GM is going through so much trouble for the car. After all, South Korea does not favour American muscle cars. Last year, only 12 units of Corvettes were sold.
