The latest Chevrolet Colorado is truly a great vehicle to own. However, how will it fair when pitted against the Nissan GT-R? On papers, this sounds like a ridiculous match-up because the Colorado is a mid-sized pickup truck while the GT-R is a monstrous sports car.
In detail, the Nissan GT-R has got about 500hp to offer from its engine and there is no way the stock Colorado can put up with it. The only way for the pickup truck to match the GT-R’s offering is through applying some modification on its powertrain.
It has already been proven that the 6.6L Duramax engine that is paired to a 6-speed automatic is sufficient to make the Colorado faster than the GT-R. Such a setup will allow the pickup truck to generate about 660hp and 1,125ft-lbs of torque.
Now, let us return to the initial question. Will the Colorado be able to beat the Nissan GT-R? The answer is a flat out yes.
