We are finally in 2015 and this year holds a lot of promises, particularly for the automotive industry. Among the many vehicles that are to make a debut this year is the BMW 7-Series. Just recently, we learned more about the upcoming G12 7-Series and now, the spotlight is on the G11 variant.
Spy shots of the 7-Series with a shorter wheelbase have surfaced and it shows the vehicle bearing the badge number 730d. This confirms that the vehicle in the image will be powered by a 3L 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
As for the design, we noticed some changes to the frontal styling. The shut lines now appear to have fused together with the kidney grille and the headlamps. Speaking of which, the headlamps are also slimmer than before.
As for the interior, the dashboard looks like the F30 model, except that it also features shiny metal buttons. Everything inside the cabin is wrapped in leather to give consumers the ultimate luxurious treat. To complete the package, there is the iDrive infotainment system that is hiding at the top of the dashboard.
All in all, the BMW 7-Series G11 variant is expected to be one of the hottest executive cars around. Unlike the G12, this sedan carries more appeal due to it being more compact than bloated.
