Comparing the latest Honda Civic with all of its predecessors, the car has certainly matured to a point where it got us questioning on when the Civic will be ceased to exist. It is frustrating to see a new Civic arriving every now and then, and they always come with subtle upgrades from the previous model.
The latest Civic isn’t anything different. It comes with the same design language with its predecessors. All Honda did was made the grille sharper and depth. To distinguish it away from the old Civic, Honda has given the car rear wipers.
On the bright side of things, the powertrain is built with the driver’s feedback in mind. The car now has a little bit of thrill to offer with the new engine offerings. This consists of the 1.4-litre and 1.8-litre petrol engines, and a new 1.6L mill that comes with Earth Dreams technology. Furthermore, Honda has added a new 6-speed gearbox for the Civic.
The 1.6L engine, in particular, is the i-DTEC diesel model which emits only 94g/100km of CO2 while also returning 78.5mpg. The Civic retails at £26,850 and is already available at the Honda showrooms.
