2014 BMW 3-Series vs Honda Accord: 2 Luxuries Collides

The latest BMW 320i came out to be an instant success. The car is elegant, powerful and also compact. The new 320i is perfect for a city executive. However, let’s see how it fair against the already-proven, 2013 Honda Accord.

Looking at both cars, it seems that the 320i is the better looking of the two. It has a sporty design, which is more appealing than the dull saloon look of the Accord.

Under the hood, the 320i runs on 2L turbocharged engine which produces 180hp. The Accord has a much larger 2.4L i-VTec engine that produces 185hp. However, the larger engine size meant that the car drains oil faster. The Accord recorded 34mpg whereas the 320i recorded 36mpg.

The Accord has a 6-speed manual transmission which has been impressive across all reviews. As for the 320i, it adopted an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Inside the cabin, the Accord has got more space to offer. Leg room isn’t a problem for passengers seating in the car. The 320i is much smaller. While the space is not as big as the Accord, it can perfectly fit 5 people comfortably. Even on boot space, the Accord has a huge 15.8 cubic feet boot capacity. The 320i only has 13 cubic feet.

Furthermore, the 320i has got more features to offer. Among them are extended rear air-conditioners and leather steering wheel.

Base on the above specifications, we have to go with the BMW 320i. It is feature-packed, stylish and efficient. However, the fact that it cost 33.8% more expensive than the Accord might just be the table turner.
