Bear in mind that the Evasi0n 7 1.0.4 jailbreak has compatibility with all of the Apple iPads, the iPad Touch and iPhone, which work on iOS 7.0 and up to iOS 7.0.4. This also includes the Apple iPhone 5S, iPad 5 and the iPad Mini Retina.
Before going ahead and jailbreaking owners should install iOS 7.04 through iTunes not OTA as there has been some issues. Owners can then follow the instructions below.
How to Jailbreak iOS 7.0.4 with Evasi0n 7 Version 1.0.4
1. Backup your device.
2. Download the evasi0n jailbreak tool. Click here for Mac and here for PC.
3. Connect your iPad or iPhone into your computer.
4. Launch the evasi0n on your computer. If you are on a Mac running on Mountain Lion or Mavericks, right click the evasi0n jailbreak tool and click Open and confirm that you wish to open it.
5. Click jailbreak and then wait.
6. You will see a message asking you to unlock your device and tap on the evasi0n 7. Perform as prompted.
7. If you have a passcode you might be asked to unlock your device one more time.
8. Evasi0n will give you a message that your device is successfully jailbroken. Click Exit on your computer.
9. Your iPhone or iPad might reboot a couple of times to complete the jailbreak process.
10. Cydia is now on your device.
Once the jailbreak is complete, you might want to pop into Cydia to update it. Although the file system will automatically update, there might be other updates that you wish to install. Apart from that, you are now good to go and enjoy your jailbroken device.
