Is This The Rumored Verizon Nexus 5?

There was talk about special products heading to Verizon and this became a hot topic over at Reddit. One user of the website pointed out that they had seen a device with the name of the LG D830 and there has been speculation that this could be the Verizon version of the Nexus 5.

A Reddit user said that the Nexus 5 could arrive with a back of red, while the device would come with bloatware and have the logos of Verizon stamped on it. Verizon are well known for having their logos stand out on handsets.

Users pointed out that the only device to get away with branding was the Droid Maxx. When the LG G2 arrived at Verizon it didn’t escape branding. Instead it bore an ugly check mark alongside the speaker on the front.

Rumours have been going around that this may be the Nexus 5 which will head to Verizon. Some fans have been speculating about what they want to see when the device is released. A larger battery was among the most wanted along with Volte.

The same user pointed out some XML coding that was of interest. This was “3GPP_WCDMA_IPV4”. It was said that this value pointed to the handset being the Nexus 5 CDMA enabled.

So it is looking as though the LG D830 may turn out to be the Nexus 5 for Verizon.
