Samsung could have another device on their minds and this could distract them from the Samsung Galaxy S5. At the same time it has been said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may arrive with many of the same features as the Samsung Galaxy S5.
We have heard numerous rumours about the two devices and what to expect from them if and when they are revealed later this year.
It has been said that there could be a 16MP camera on both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Past versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy S have shared the same camera and we don’t see this year being any different.
Evidence that backs this up has been seen in that Samsung have ordered 181 million 16MP modules and these could be heading to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 this year. Another rumour that has been going around is that the camera may have OIS, we don’t know if this would apply to both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or one or the other.
Another rumour going around is that Samsung could introduce wireless charging along with a fingerprint scanner, this came from GalaxyS5Info.
The Korean website ET News said that they thought Samsung was working on wireless tech. They pointed out that Samsung were working alongside PowerByProxy.
TechRadar agreed with them and said that Samsung could have the technology ready for around the middle of this year. However if this is true we expect it to be too late to be included in the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Nothing has been said about which OS the devices may offer but everything points to it being KitKat 4.4 unless Google offer a newer version.
This was reiterated by GottaBeMobile who said that Samsung had been testing KitKat 4.4 on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Meanwhile SlashGear believe that the Google Play version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 could be the first devices to get KitKat 4.4.
For now this is all purely speculation as Samsung have not announced the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 right now.
