Samsung will want to remain in the headlines going into 2014 and it seems they plan on doing this by launching products that will knock the Apple iPad Air from the top spot. Samsung could launch the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Samsung Galaxy 3 Lite and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. We have also heard reports that Samsung could launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet, which could compete with the Apple iPad Air.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been rumoured for some months now and began when the Samsung Galaxy Gear and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 were launched.
We have heard from Phone Arena who said that they saw an FCC filing that gave hints about the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. They reported that the device will have support for 3G and the 850/1900 MHz frequency. Another report has suggested that it could have the Snapdragon quad core 800 processor along with 3GB of RAM and a display of 2560 x 1600.
There has been a rumour going around that there could be a camera of 8MP on the back along with a front camera of 2MP. The tablet may have Jelly Bean 4.3, but as KitKat 4.4 is out now this may change.
MovePlayer released a leaked render which they said showed the design of the tablet. This lead Phone Arena to say that the tablet would be able to compete with the Apple iPad Air. When Apple released the iPad Air it was a hit and so Samsung are going to want to release a tablet that is able to compete with it.
There has been talk about a Bluetooth sig filing and this may give an indication that Samsung are going to reveal the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. When Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition it earned positive reviews as it arrived with many features and the S Pen. Should Samsung launch the new tablet with some of the same tech along with enhancements it should be stiff competition for the iPad Air.
