What seemed like a smooth sail towards Kingdom Hearts 3 release turns out otherwise as development for the game suffered a delay in its production.
A recent statement from the game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase revealed that Square Enix is giving Final Fantasy XV more attention. This upcoming sequel to the Final Fantasy franchise has progressed much more than Kingdom Hearts 3 that the game developer is giving it full attention now.
Since there is so much ideas being discussed for Kingdom Hearts 3, it could be that Square Enix would want the creators of this highly anticipated game to give it a long thought as they wrap up Final Fantasy XV.
Even Tetsuya Nomura confirmed this claiming that they are still exploring all the ideas for Kingdom Hearts 3.
Some fans felt that there is some sort of rivalry between the two brands under Square Enix. Kitase denied those claims saying that is merely due to Final Fantasy XV’s progress and nothing more.
Fans should remain patient. After all, the delay is for the best of Kingdom Hearts 3. The release date for this upcoming third sequel is expected to be announced come E3 this year.
