The Samsung Galaxy S3 might be officially updated to the Android Jelly Bean 4.3 but with this update, owners are reporting on many bugs plaguing their device.
Those who are tired of the bugs and looking for a solution, you’ve come to the right place. It appears that there is a remedy to this problem. However, it is a risky path for users to take.
OmniROM has finally rolled out the Android 4.4 Kitkat for the Galaxy S3. Unlike most custom ROM, this one is free of bloatware and bugs which is a great thing. However, there is a problem with both the S3’s camera and video playback after installing the update.
If you’re all right with all that, make sure the following are ready before proceeding with the instruction on installation.
1. This ROM is only for the international version of GT-i9300 only. Do not install it on other devices or risk bricking them.
2. Root the smartphone and install the ClockworkMod Touch 6.0.32 or later on your Galaxy S3.
3. Perform a manual backup of all your files.
4. Make sure that battery life is at least 50%.
5. Enable USB debugging on your smartphone.
6. Install the device’s USB driver on your computer for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
7. Download the OmniROM 4.4 and PA Gapps to your computer.
