2015 Subaru Legacy Review (& Why You Should Avoid Outback)

Late last year, Subaru launched the all-new Legacy and a new generation of Outback. Even so, we highly encourage consumers to opt for the former than the latter and here’s why.

Unlike the Outback, the Legacy gives off an aura of versatility and dependability thus, giving drivers some extra confidence to drive it. The first pointer here is with the Legacy’s ability to be cheaper than the Outback in every way.

To explain for ourselves, the Legacy is powered by a 175hp 2.5L boxer engine that is paired to a CVT transmission while being driven on the AWD system. Amazingly, this returns 28mpg city/36mpg highway/30mpg combined fuel mileage. Obviously, this is better than the Outback and adding to the fact that the Legacy is $3000 cheaper in price, the sedan is simply savvy.

Furthermore, the Legacy is also a great cruiser on the highway. The sedan is well-sized that is able to offer ample room for the driver and passengers. The cushions are thick and the climate control is efficient. As such, the Legacy is able to make any journey a comforting one. The extra perk to this is that the Legacy has a huge 15 cubic feet boot that can only benefit a getaway journey.

To complete the package, the Subaru Legacy comes with the added Eyesight Technology. Although it is optional, we recommend getting it as it keeps drivers alert on their surroundings. Not only will this make it safer but it also ensures that drivers are efficient and quick to react when on the roads.

Being cheaper and more practical, it is for certain that the Subaru Legacy is the better option than the Outback. Heck, we dare say that the Legacy is also better than the more popular sedans here in the US.
