The Hilux pickup truck is one of Toyota’s most successful vehicles and soon, it will be getting a successor. While not much has been revealed by the Japanese carmaker, the world can already get a better look at what the pickup truck can offer.
For starters, the grille looks like a fusion from the Corolla and the Highlander. Every metal strip on the grille is chrome in colour. Also, the upcoming Hilux will be so much larger than its predecessors. In brief, the Hilux looks so futuristic that consumers can distinguish it from all the previous Hilux.
Under the hood, the Hilux will be equipped with the 2.5 and 3.0 liter Diesel and an optional range of 4.0 liter petrol V6. The powerful engine will make the Hilux a serious challenger to the Nissan Frontier, Mazda BT50, Volkswagen Amarok, Ford’d Ranger and many more.
While no specific release date was announced by Toyota, we can expect the Hilux to enter productions in early 2015.
