It looks like nobody will be spared this time around. BMW issued two different recalls to recalls back their BMW X3, X4, X5, and X6.
The BMW X3 and X4 were recalled after it was discovered that the lower child seat anchor bar in both these model might get damage if it is used with the European-type ISOFIX connector.
BMW X3 and X4 that will be affected by this recall will include the 2011 model to the 2017 models. A total of 188,668 models will be affected by the recall. Affected models will be heading back to get a reinforcing bracket added to their lower anchor bars.
The BMW X5 and X6 will be heading back for another reason. The second recall was issued after it was discovered that the universal joint on the front driveshaft of the BMW X5 and BMW X6 might have a leaking issue. It was added that water and debris might get into the driveshaft and damage it.
This second recall will affect 21,492 units of BMW X5 and X6 from 2011 to 2017. Affected models will be getting a front driveshaft replacement.
