Mass Effect 4: Dropping Of Shepard Hints Prequel Among Other Things

It is no secret that Mass Effect 4 is currently in development. This upcoming fourth sequel to the highly successful series from Bioware looks set to debut on the next-gen consoles. When it comes to teasing the fans, the game developer certainly don’t hold back.

Taking a closer look at Mass Effect 4, it appears that Commander Shepard won’t be featuring in the game. Bioware revealed that Shepard, together with his cronies in the first trilogy, is retired from the franchise.

The fans are definitely sad upon learning this; yet at the same time, they are equally excited as Mass Effect 4 will be a whole new game. This highly anticipated title will feature a new protagonist on a brand new storyline.

On another note, the Mass Effect population are also worried that the game will not be the same as the first trilogy. Their worries soon faltered as Bioware was quick to reveal that they will preserve the traditional gameplay as well as the universe.

Mass Effect 4 will be totally new and fans have no clue to what is in store for them. Since the game will be set in the same universe, fans are wondering on the timeline of the franchise. Will it be set before, during or long after Shepard’s era?

At the moment, that is the biggest question that Bioware has to answer. Until the game developer let out more information, fans will just have to hang on tight and wait for it.
