The Jeep Renegade was launched late last year and it marks the company’s entry in the trendy compact SUV segment. However, the move was widely criticized by many due to the overpopulated compact SUV market.
This is also partly the reason why there has yet to be any specially tuned Renegade getting produced. The vehicle is simply poor in terms of sales and adding more variants of it will only result in more losses for Jeep.
On the other hand, there is a section of the consumers that are hoping to see custom tuned Renegades getting introduced sooner rather than later. After all, this is the practice for every Jeep vehicle and it will be disappointing if the Renegade don’t get the same treatment.
The only possible way for Jeep to launch special trims of the Renegade is through achieving better sales with the compact SUV. Once the interest is huge, there is no doubt that more variety of the Renegade being made. Then again, this doesn’t look like happening anytime soon.
