Aside from the Apple iPhone 6, both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Sony Xperia Z3 were also the highlights of September this year. Both devices came out with a larger display and also offer tons of great features but between the two, which is better?
The first major difference between the Note 4 and the Z3 are the cameras. Here, the Z3 is the winner because it sports a large 20.7MP rear camera that has been refined to be much better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4’s 16MP rear shooter. Then again, the Note 4 can take pride on its 3.7MP front camera which offers better snaps than the Z3’s 2.2MP front shooter.
Aside from cameras, both the Z3 and Note 4 are also different in size. The Z3, in particular, sports a 5.2” screen that runs at 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, the Z3’s display is not as sharp as the Note 4’s 5.7” screen that runs at QHD resolution. Being bigger, the Note 4 is also packed with a larger 3220mAh battery. Then again, it cannot keep the device lasting longer than the Z3’s 3100mAh battery.
In terms of speed, the Note 4 is slightly faster than the Z3 since it is powered by the latest Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the Z3 runs on the slightly older Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.
Finally are the features. The Note 4 has the S Pen that gives the device some added functions aimed at productivity. The Z3, on the other hand, boasts a water and dust proof body, and it is also compatible with PS4.
With that being said, there is no doubt that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the winner in this contest. Of course, this is not to say that the Z3 is a bad smartphone.
