The Porsche Cayenne would have to watch its back if the Mahindra SUV finds its way onto the market. Following the acquisition of SsangYong and the very impressive concept of the Halo Coupe EV, Mahindra from India, is getting recognised slowly. The Komodo concept could be the thing that will finally take attention the way of the car maker.
The Komodo Concept came from Makrand Patil, the IED Torino grad and was designed when Mahindra was at IED.
Patil talked about how the SUV he made had been designed for the Indian market and how it was suitable for all ages and groups. The large SUV is well suited for the Indian terrain and can be taken off road and in water that is deep. It was said “Focusing more on its off-roading abilities, a true 4×4 vehicle that a whole family can enjoy.”
He also added that “This SUV has been designed considering most of the brand attributes of Mahindra. The brand sets a benchmark of Capability, Authenticity in design and function. It specializes in Durability and Reliability for the Indian market, having a justified evolution.”
He said that his dream was to take the styling of Mahindra and evolve it into the Mahindra KOMODO.
