It wasn’t that long ago when Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed 4 and the game developer has already commenced the creation of the upcoming fifth sequel. After all, Ubisoft once revealed that Asssassin’s Creed will see an annual release.
It is 2014 now and we will see the coming of AC5 in the fourth quarter this year. AC4 is one of the best games at the moment and fans are wondering on how will there be a transition from the age of colonization to the upcoming mysterious settings in AC5.
Many reports suggest that AC5 will be covering the French Revolution where blades are discarded and guns are opted as the ideal weapon to kill. While it might sound interesting, some fans felt that it is too soon to fully utilize firearms as there are still plenty of other histories to explore.
This strongly relates to the fans who felt that the upcoming AC title to be in the land of the rising sun where samurais and ninjas rule the country.
Nevertheless, it is still unknown on what kind of setting AC5 will have. Fans have to wait at least until Ubisoft announces the game toward the middle of 2014.
AC4 was among the launch titles for the next-gen consoles. AC5 will be looking to continue that transition by debuting on both the Xbox One and PS4. In spite of that, the game developer’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Tony Keys, revealed that AC5 will still come to the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The company will continue to monitor the market trends and if more gamers made the shift to the next-gen consoles, then Ubisoft will follow suit. This can be seen with AC4 recording better sales figures on the current gen consoles compared to the next gen.
